'Visa to heaven' pastor in Ekiti arrested over holding minors, others hostage
The Ekiti State Police Command, in collaboration with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), has apprehended Pastor Noah Abraham on charges of kidnapping minors and other individuals. The arrest followed protests by some members of his church at the police command. They accused him of abducting minors and impregnating the wife of his choir coordinator. Pastor Abraham, the founder of Christ High Commission Church in Omuo-Oke-Ekiti, Araromi-Ugbesia, had previously been arrested for allegedly collecting N310,000 from church members under the guise of providing visas to heaven. Reports indicate that he held children hostage, allegedly using hypnosis and manipulation to turn them against their parents.
